Thrust roller bearings are suitable for transferring large axial loads. These bearings are not very sensitive to shock loads and form a rigid bearing requiring only a small space in the axial direction. Bearings are mainly used where thrust ball bearings do not have sufficient load carrying capacity. Thrust roller bearings have a simple shape and design, they are produced in one-row or two-row design. These bearings are unidirectional, so they are capable of transmitting axial loads acting in one direction. The rollers are slightly tapered at the ends, which reduces the risk of edge overload. Bearings are disassembled, individual parts can be assembled separately. The bi-directional bearings with inner or outer guides can be easily adjusted by combining the respective shaft rings or body rings with two thrust cages with rollers and a suitable middle ring.
